What are YOU doing?

If you are reading this, then you are blog obsessed! So go to my friend Ashley's blog http://kellersc23.com/blog/ and read your heart out! Then lift up a prayer to the Lord for them. They are such wonderful people!

Popsicle in December

A PBS kids show called "Sid the Science Kid" inspired Aiden to ask for a popsicle.

Aiden: "Mom, do we have popsicles?"
Me: "As a matter of fact, yes, we do. In the fridge in the garage."
(Now, unless it's bottled water or Coke and it's in the garage fridge, you can bet that it's been in there for over 12 months.)

So here is the happy boy testing out his new-found food:

And a minute later, he laid it down on the tray. "Mom, I don't wike dis popswikle, Mom."
Me: "You don't?"
Aiden: "Uh, uh. May I bwee excwused?"

So I guess maybe even popsicles go bad after a while! Did I mention it was one of those, all natural kind? Maybe it didn't taste good to begin with!

Not Me Tuesday

I did NOT just open the fridge to put the toaster away. My brain is NOT toast!

Hey Dad ...

A while ago, I was doing so well. I ate a small portion for dinner, mostly veggies. And then 10:30pm rolled around. I was full-blown in the heart of some project ... and the hungries hit. So thinking of you and memories of my childhood, I made up a feast on a plate. The avocado was for you ... it was delish!

Spoons from Gigi

My Paula Deen spoons from Gigi have inspired many good meals so far and hopefully many to come!

. . . And the rubber ones that she sent earlier this year help those dinners become reality by sometimes just being distractions!

Our Hacienda

Andy and I have been working diligently to get our little townhouse updated into a contemporary open concept that reflects our style but is also functional for the kids .. . and maybe the 52" flatscreen! So for the grandmas and aunts (who are probably the only ones who really care) here are some pics of our first floor all decked out for Christmas. Enjoy!

The boys' main Christmas gift: a nativity scene. We enjoy playing and talking about baby Jesus.

Sass, this one is for you! (Aiden's favorite, and most irritating, Little Einstein's ornament)

Our "Eclectic Wall." And I swear the shelves are straight ... it must be our dumb camera!

That's homemade applesauce made by Jen and Christie's mom, Mrs. Sue. Can't wait to enjoy it! Mmmm!
