"Mommy! I'ma awl done wif my na-nights!"

The boys woke up from their naps at the same time, so I put Ash in Zib's crib to visit with his big bro. They were hamming it up!

P.S. Aiden is wearing a shirt that was Andy's when he was a little boy - how cute is that?!

How To...

... transport a baby and a load of clean clothes up two flights of stairs simultaneously!

I Despise Bulk Purchases

Maybe it's the sour childhood memories of hours upon hours spent at the bulk warehouse store or perhaps just the fact that our house is barely large enough to house our day-to-day needs, not to mention, a stockpile that we could survive off of thru World War III, so you would never find in my wallet a membership card to a bulk warehouse store. And you would most definitely not find 30 rolls of TP under the bathroom vanity. That would just go against everything I have ever stood for. Therefore, this is not a picture of my kitchen counter after a morning of running errands. That would be preposterous! Only a giant could substantiate that large a bag of baking chocolate chips!

I Was Just Told

"Mommy, it's a waterfall. It'sa comin out!"

Before I had kids, I said I would never be one of those moms who delights in her children's nudity. But c'mon, that skin is just too perfect and adorable! Who doesn't envy that?! I use all sorts of expensive potions to try to replicate it! LOL

Two Months and Two Days Later ...

HE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT! FROM 9:45PM-5:30AM. PRAISE THE LORD!

Oh, I am just falling more in love with this little dude every day. He has such a distinct personality. He will just sit or lay by himself for hours, amusing himself with his fists, and smiling at anyone who gets close enough for him to see. But when he is in need of loving or food, he sticks that bottom lip out there, lets it quiver a couple of times, and then lets out the most pitiful, "I am an abandoned orphan" wail. Melts my heart!

Happy 6th Anniversary, My Love!

6 years of marital bliss - through the good, the bad, AND the ugly!
It's funny, one would think that as the years go by that we would need to do bigger and better celebrations than the years before, but it really is in the sharing of the simple things that keeps the sparks alive. Like making smores over the gas grill. Ah, amore!

I love you, Andy - forever and always!!!

Whats Sat, Daddy?

Andy came home from work and was trying to have a conversation with me, but we were over-talked by the 2 year old voice, "Whats sat, Daddy?" Over, and over and over. Aiden had never seen Andy wear a tie before!

Duck Park

Last week, the boys and I took our first trip of the season to the duck park. We just hung out, threw pebbles in the pond, and fed the ducks old bread (when the park workers weren't looking!)

Here's a little video - it's nothing cinematography-ly special, just the boys hangin' out at the park. ie: my life! I love them to death!

Happy Memorial Day!

To all those in my family who have served our Country, thank you and we love you!

My Hubbie

I feel as though I need to clarify all my complaints and rants: Yes, I realize how amazingly blessed I am! I hope those who follow my blog see past all the negativism for what it really is: sarcasm of the middle class American desperate housewife!
And I never mean to speak ill of my hubbie. We have been best friends for 10.5 years and spouses for almost 6. He is the best person I know, and may I say, WILL ever meet! (Not to mention good looking!)

And SOOOO sweet! What kind of man chooses to sit next to the newborn, knowing he will have to rock that carseat the entire time he eats?!?!

Aiden?

I was changing Little's diaper upstairs and doing some general clean-up, when I heard the faint cry of "Mommy, garble, garble, garble." It was VERY faint. I went downstairs, and checked all over - in the pantry, basement, half bath, but couldn't pin-point where my two year old had disappeared. Finally I heard "In da cwoset, Mommy." "Oh, there you are, Son!"

I Will Not Complain, I Will Not Complain ...

I am stealing a blog entry from my dear friend and mother of 5, who has so much more to complain about than me, but I'm putting it out there for myself anyways. I am tired, the house is a mess, I have a bazillion to-do's for the church nursery, my family (I am sure) thinks I have fallen off the face of the earth, the new dinner dish stunk up the house something awful, the dishwasher needs to be unloaded, the laundry needs to be switched, and the 6 week old cried all day and wouldn't let me put him down. Andy came home for all of 29 minutes, just to eat and grab his ball bag and water to go to a softball game on the other side of the world, so he'll be home late. (Have a GREAT time, Honey!) My only salvation is that the weather is just perfect. Not too warm, not too cool. Perfect for the Big Boy to play outside. Unfortunately, this is what he looks like:

Oh yes, those are BRAND new shoes!
