Both of my boys have beautiful smiles that just melt my heart. Catching those on camera is like going through a day without having to use air freshener around our house: near impossible. But sometimes I get lucky!
Being 2,530 miles from family, being married to a nuclear engineer with CRAZY work hours, having a 4 year old, a 2 year old, a 5 month old AND having a 2 year old boxer mutt is not always easy, but it's the life the Lord has blessed me with - and it's WAY better than I imagined my life could ever be!

Super Cold
It's 11am. Not a cloud in the sky. A breeze is rustling the leaf-barren trees. And we are all wearing 2 pairs of pants, 2 pairs of socks, 3 shirts - and that's pre-coats, hats and mittens. It's 9 degrees out ... -7 with wind chill. And I have to go out and install a new carseat in the car in order to go to the grocery store. I would put it off until we completely ran out of food, but I'm hosting a huge party tomorrow and must get food stock. Sigh. Not looking forward to wrestling with carseats while my fingers slowly numb and possible crack open and bleed. (Sadly, I had my artificial nails removed in an effort to help us get debt-free.) Just thought I'd share!

I Miss Going Out
Our house has been plagued with cold after cold, and then a touch of the flu. Yuck! And with the cold weather, going for a walk or even taking the boys to the grocery store is out of the question. And I have come to a conclusion: I am not cut from my parents' cloth and I MUST get out of the house and see other people at least once a week! I miss going out! I've gone 4 days this week without putting makeup on. What's happening to me?!?!

Your Job
After a day of me being sick in bed with shivers and a fever, Andy sweetly took a day off of work to stay at home with the boys and I. After 10 hours of taking care of us, with both boys in bed:
Andy: Your job is a pain in the butt! I haven't showered or brushed my teeth all day!
Me: Aw, you poor thing!
Funny, that's usually our conversation, just in reverse!

Breakfast Around Our House
Friends in Africa
My friend Ashley and I go all the way back to the summer before 9th grade. Through the years we lost touch, but ironically have been corresponding now that I live in NY and she in Africa! Well, she and her hubbie, Timothy, are amazing missionaries and they just celebrated the birth of their son, IN Africa. Any moms reading this are saying, "What?!" You read that correctly! Go read their story at Ashley's blog: http://kellersc23.com/blog/ I had what I considered a "hectic" day, but nothing in comparison to what the Kellers go through every day. God bless them, and may they be a reminder to each of us to analyze the motives behind our life decisions and how they compare to glorifying His kingdom. And if they're not, then change it!
