Andy came home from work and was trying to have a conversation with me, but we were over-talked by the 2 year old voice, "Whats sat, Daddy?" Over, and over and over. Aiden had never seen Andy wear a tie before!
Being 2,530 miles from family, being married to a nuclear engineer with CRAZY work hours, having a 4 year old, a 2 year old, a 5 month old AND having a 2 year old boxer mutt is not always easy, but it's the life the Lord has blessed me with - and it's WAY better than I imagined my life could ever be!

Duck Park
Last week, the boys and I took our first trip of the season to the duck park. We just hung out, threw pebbles in the pond, and fed the ducks old bread (when the park workers weren't looking!)
Here's a little video - it's nothing cinematography-ly special, just the boys hangin' out at the park. ie: my life! I love them to death!

My Hubbie
I feel as though I need to clarify all my complaints and rants: Yes, I realize how amazingly blessed I am! I hope those who follow my blog see past all the negativism for what it really is: sarcasm of the middle class American desperate housewife!
And I never mean to speak ill of my hubbie. We have been best friends for 10.5 years and spouses for almost 6. He is the best person I know, and may I say, WILL ever meet! (Not to mention good looking!)
And SOOOO sweet! What kind of man chooses to sit next to the newborn, knowing he will have to rock that carseat the entire time he eats?!?!

Aiden?
I was changing Little's diaper upstairs and doing some general clean-up, when I heard the faint cry of "Mommy, garble, garble, garble." It was VERY faint. I went downstairs, and checked all over - in the pantry, basement, half bath, but couldn't pin-point where my two year old had disappeared. Finally I heard "In da cwoset, Mommy." "Oh, there you are, Son!"
I Will Not Complain, I Will Not Complain ...
I am stealing a blog entry from my dear friend and mother of 5, who has so much more to complain about than me, but I'm putting it out there for myself anyways. I am tired, the house is a mess, I have a bazillion to-do's for the church nursery, my family (I am sure) thinks I have fallen off the face of the earth, the new dinner dish stunk up the house something awful, the dishwasher needs to be unloaded, the laundry needs to be switched, and the 6 week old cried all day and wouldn't let me put him down. Andy came home for all of 29 minutes, just to eat and grab his ball bag and water to go to a softball game on the other side of the world, so he'll be home late. (Have a GREAT time, Honey!) My only salvation is that the weather is just perfect. Not too warm, not too cool. Perfect for the Big Boy to play outside. Unfortunately, this is what he looks like:
Oh yes, those are BRAND new shoes!

Pride in Ownership
So we don't have as much time as we would like to dedicate to our yard, but we did take a few hours to spruce up the front yard (let's just not talk about the back yard - Andy asked me the other day if it would be ok if we turned it into a forever-wild. Haha.).

Pathetic
My younger brother was so whiny as a boy that my family dubbed him "Whine Bag." Aiden's middle name is my brother's name, and we are beginning to think there is a link between them. That, combined with the general neediness of men when they are sick has created, well, just see for yourself. Please just note, this is not our typically self-assured firstborn!
Snot Funny
I was putting on my makeup upstairs, when I realized I hadn't heard from Aiden in a while. I yelled down: "Whatcha doin, Zib?" No reply. I remembered about my candy thief last time he was this quiet. I calmly went downstairs. Now remember, Aiden has a cold. This is what I found:
TISSUES! And lots of them!

We are still working on using all of these, which equals out to 3/4 of a large box of Puffs Plus.

Baby Bath
Here's Turtle after a bath. It is so much fun to begin to see his personality emerging. He's pretty chill with just about everything - unless it's mealtime around the house. He knows he is going to be put down. He does everything in his power not to be ignored (ie. crying like an abandoned orphan!).
